Dear Mr. Koeppel, your writing is as effluent as some of the wines you describe; I especially liked this phase: “it has limited utility in the diurnal round.”
Since I found no comments here, I thought I could be just a bit frivolous.
Really, I’ve tagged your blog and trust I’ll learn many new wines and concepts from your rarified experience and palate. New Hampshire tends toward colloquial wine sophistication; I, being very much a Newbie wine drinker (Two Years Young) fall into a somewhat crude category, but instead of sheer taxonomical prowess, hope to be of the simplest assist to others in NH to find a “good” bottle of wine at a “good” price. Yet, there is this urge to the adventure.
Thanks for the help on the trek,
Sincerely,
Dennis Tsiorbas aka NHWineman
PS, I too liked both the Morgan Chardonnays, and tasted them together, which was very rewarding.
