what is surprising about the wine situation in Memphis 25 years ago is how much wine there was, especially all sorts of Bordeaux, and how cheap it was and easy to get. true there were many limitations in the retail stores, but you could go into even a mom-and-pop corner store and find First and second growths, often seriously underpriced. those days are long gone.</description>
