no, no, those are OUR salt-and-pepper shakers. I thought they brought a touch of weird anxiety to the image, which otherwise would have been just, you know, a dumb toy VW bus.

Maybe the wine will taste better if you empty the ingredients of the two shakers into it.

Don’t tell me they didn’t include salt and pepper–that would be gauche.

You know, at Mantia’s we did a Beaulolais roll-out party each year and sold out immediately. I just always figured they came for the great hors-d’oeuvre, not for the wine. I did get a really cute scarf to wear each year though!

Exactly. And that’s why the DuBoeuf posters get smaller every year. Even The Grand Fromage of Beaujolais recognizes that the Nouveau ritual has hurt sales of “real” Beaujolais.
