Great picks, and well under $20!

There’s a reason the Codax Albariño is so consistently good–they’re the biggest landholders in the Rías Baixas, and therefore always have access to good fruit.

I admire your courage re: Franzia. I probably would have given the bottle a pass. Same goes for “Divine Light,” on the basis of the label only. Shows what a fogey I really am…

I know you have misgivings about the Crane Lake…for what it’s worth the WSJ liked it too. Tough to admit that a Bronco wine isn’t total garbage, but actually is worth the price. (2.99$ in California) I know it runs counter to every bone in my body, but it’s really not that bad…I will never buy another bottle of it, but count me in the “I can’t believe I can drink this crowd.”

The rest of the list is interesting, but you have to admit that the Bronco wine is the most provocative!
