So, Nancy, I guess that everything comes full circle. I have to say that the organic, pasture-raised and grass-fed beef and pork and chicken we get from this farm taste better than any meat I have tried in a lifetime of being a dedicated carnivore. Of course it ain’t cheap; purity comes at a cost.

I had a post on Oct. 20 about the France and its rush toward prohibitionism, but simply put, the country is embracing the demonization of wine (as well as spirits) and heavily regulating not only advertising but the writing about wine in newspapers and magazines.

Re: this post. Many apologies, but — my father was a butcher, and practiced his trade back in the days when grass-fed beef was considered garbage. It’s interesting how standards can change. Insert emoticon here

a legitimate question, Thomas, and I think the “Excellent” rating reflects my ambiguous feelings about the wine. I see-sawed for a day between Very Good+ and Excellent, and I have to maintain that Rockaway 2005 is a well-made and attractive wine. Perhaps I should emphasize its lack of individuality rather than a lack of character; or perhaps I am slicing distinctions too finely (and too anxiously) here.

You confuse me about the Rockaway.
