Yes, I giggle like an old woman when I see the odd bluebird or scarlet tanager alight on one of the trees in my Cordova suburban spread. I sometimes save my stale bread and crumble it up on the fence rail for the birds. If you want to know true relaxation, sit on the back porch with a cigar and a snifter of Port for an hour during a migration time. Not only do you see the flocks overhead, but you occasionally get non-native species blown off course that can be seen nibbling about your bushes for bugs and berries. We'll be in NYC next week and plan to bring back similar items. Unfortunately I can't train my dogs not to be dogs, but we love them anyway!
