Yes, even $6 plonk should be recognizably sauvignon blanc if it is labeled as such. One of the reasons people shy away from drinking wine in the US is the inexpensive stuff can be crap and they can't drink the expensive stuff every day. So they don't drink wine much at all. I've had great $4 wine in Europe. They have an everyday wine culture. What's wrong with us? Hooray. Yes, even $6 plonk should be recognizably sauvignon blanc if it is labeled as such.
