All 3 of their stores - NYC, south Jersey, and Delaware are kept at 55-60 degrees - they keep fleeces on hand for shoppers. Tehir shipping too is at 56 degrees - as was mentioned, its prominent on the label. They tend to work with smaller growers and focus on old world and old world style wines. Assuming that the bottle had been lying on its side, when you stood it upright, it slide down the neck. Too bad about the Angelus; I hope it wasn't a great year. By contrast I went into the Moore Brothers shop near Union Square, which is kept very chilly all the time.
